Egyptian giants Zamalek are poised to capitalize on their recent victories when they face Smouha in the 21st matchday of the Egyptian Premier League.

On Thursday, Zamalek beat NBE Club 1-0 extending their winning streak in the domestic competition to three after beating Itihad of Alexandria and archrivals Ahly.

Zamalek accumulated 24 points from 14 games played this season and sit in the 12th spot in the table.

They trail the current leaders, Pyramids FC, by a margin of 14 points, with Pyramids having played three additional matches.

On Sunday, Zamalek will be without the services of veteran playmaker Mahmoud 'Shikabala' Abdel-Razek and Youssef 'Obama' Ibrahim due to injuries.

According to Zamalek's doctor, Mohamed Osama, Shikabala's absence from the squad could extend to four to six weeks.

Additionally, winger Mostafa Shalabi and defender Mostafa El Zennari are doubtful for Smouha after sustaining muscle injuries during the NBE Club match.

Medical tests suggest that Shalabi and El Zennari are likely to miss the first leg of the African Confederation Cup, according to Zamalek's doctor.

On the other side, Smouha will be without the services of defender Ahmed Abdel-Hakam, as well as midfielders Abdel-Rahman Amer and Hamdy Alaa.

However, Smouha coach Ahmed Sami said his players have what it takes to secure victory over Zamalek in tomorrow's match.

Currently occupying the seventh position in the table, Smouha has amassed 29 points from 19 games played.
