This win secured Ghazl El-Mahalla the second promotion spot, with Petrojet having already earned their promotion last month by finishing in first place with four matches remaining.
In the second-tier league, the top two teams in the table automatically earn promotion to the first division, while the third-placed team, Harras El-Hodoud, will have to participate in a play-off to determine the third side.
Ghazl El-Mahalla, one of only seven clubs to have previously won the Premier League, had been relegated to the second division last season, along with Aswan and Harras El-Hodoud.
The team is led by former international forward Ahmed Eid Abdel-Malek.
