The match, originally planned for 7 June as part of the third round of group stage games, will now take place on 6 June.
The decision to adjust the date was made in response to a request from the EFA after Egypt coach Hossam Hassan sought to provide his players with adequate rest before their fourth-round away game against Guinea Bissau, which is scheduled just three days later.
In Group A, the Pharaohs have been drawn alongside Burkina Faso, Guinea Bissau, Ethiopia, Djibouti, and Sierra Leone.
Currently, Egypt leads Group A with six points, having won their first two games.
They secured a convincing 6-0 victory over Djibouti in the opening round, followed by a 2-0 triumph against Sierra Leone in the second round, held in November 2023.
This rescheduled match against Burkina Faso will mark the first official assignment for newly appointed coach Hossam Hassan.
The 57-year-old Egyptian football icon took charge of the team in February, succeeding Rui Vitoria after Egypt's disappointing exit from the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in the Round of 16.
