The match is set to take place at the Stade Olympique Hammadi Agrebi on Saturday.

The second leg of the final is scheduled to be held at the Cairo International Stadium on 25 May, adding to the excitement surrounding this prestigious event.

Ahly's path to the final was paved with an impressive 3-0 aggregate victory over TP Mazembe of DR Congo in the semifinals of the continental tournament.

The Red Devils showcased their dominance throughout the matches, solidifying their place in the championship clash.

On the other hand, Esperance secured their spot in the final by achieving a 2-0 aggregate win over Mamelodi Sundowns FC of South Africa in the semifinals, proving their mettle against strong opponents.

Ahly, however, faces some challenges as they enter the final. They will have to cope without the services of midfielders Amr El-Soulaya and Ahmed Nabil as well as wingers Ahmed Abdel-Kader, Taher Mohamed, and Mohamed Dhaoui, who are unavailable due to various reasons.

Their absence will undoubtedly test the depth of the squad.

Nevertheless, the Cairo giants received a significant boost with the return of goalkeeper Mohamed El-Shennawy and Aliou Dieng, who have successfully recovered from their respective injuries.

The return of these two key players will greatly enhance the team's chances in the continental final, given their exceptional abilities.

Defending champions Ahly are determined to clinch their 12th Champions League title, showcasing their longevity and dominance in African football.

In contrast, the Tunisian side seeks their fifth title and the first since their victorious campaign in 2019.
