In a statement on Wednesday, Public Prosecution confirmed that 11 women drowned and five others remain unaccounted for.
The accident resulted in the injury of two women, while seven others survived, it added.
Moreover, the prosecution assigned Civil Defense Forces to continue searching for missing women.
The microbus, retrieved from the Nile a few hours after the accident, was carrying 25 female workers, aged between 15 and 40.
The women were going to work from Manashi village to an agricultural export company when the minibus plunged into the Nile near Abou Ghaleb village in Giza.
Investigations revealed that the minibus driver had left the vehicle on the ferry without properly applying the brakes, causing it to roll back, as the ferry's rear iron door, meant to prevent any cargo from falling off the roof, was open, the statement added.
According to the prosecution, the ferry's operating license has expired since August.
It also said the minibus and ferry drivers have been taken into custody and will undergo drug tests.
