Defending champions Ahly clinched their record-extending 12th title by defeating Tunisia's Esperance 1-0 in the second leg of the CAF Champions League final at Cairo International Stadium.

Speaking on a television program following the match, Abou Ali expressed his congratulations to Ahly's fans in Palestine.

The 25-year-old striker joined Ahly in January, coming from the Swedish side Sirius.

"I didn't perform at my best today, but I am grateful to God for the trophy," Abou Ali added.

Esperance midfielder Roger Aholou accidentally scored an early own goal, deflecting a header from Ahly's defender Rami Rabia just four minutes into the match, granting the hosts a well-deserved lead.

Building upon their home advantage and the goalless draw in the first leg in Tunisia, Ahly secured a victory over their Tunisian opponents.

"We started the game under pressure, but we succeeded in achieving our objective of securing the win," Abou Ali remarked.

This title marks the first major trophy in the Palestinian star's football career, despite his extensive journey in Europe, where he played for Vendsyssel FF and Silkeborg IF in Denmark before joining Sirius.
