The EMA also expects the heatwave to reach a peak in the North Coast on Friday and Saturday, and in Greater Cairo, South Sinai and Upper Egypt on Monday and Tuesday.
Hot weather will prevail during the day nationwide, with the North Coast to see warm weather and southern Upper Egypt and South Sinai to experience extremely hot conditions, the EMA added.
Furthermore, it predicts moderate and cooler weather with active winds in most of the country at night.
Cairo and the Nile Delta will see highs of 34-37 degrees and lows of 23-25 degrees from Friday to Tuesday.
South Sinai will see highs of 37-41 degrees and lows of 27-29 degrees.
The North Coast should expect highs of 35-36 degrees with lows of 21-23 degrees.
Northern Upper Egypt governorates — Fayoum, Beni Suef, and Minya — will experience highs of 36-40 degrees in the morning and lows of 22-26 degrees at night.
Sohag, Qena, Luxor, Aswan, and the Red Sea governorates in southern Upper Egypt will see highs of 41-44 degrees and lows of 28-29 degrees.
