According to Marsa Allam City Council’s official Facebook page, the council received a notice from the Electricity Company indicating that the schedule for the necessary maintenance of the Marsa Alam transformer station has been adjusted to take place from 2:00 AM on Friday, June 7 2024, until 10:00 AM on the same day.

Earlier, the city council had announced that the power outage due to maintenance works would start from 12 AM to 10 AM.

The cities of the Red Sea Governorate and cities with tourist resorts have been exempted from the load-shedding plan by the Cabinet's Crisis Management Committee to ensure that hotels, tourist villages, and affiliated areas are supplied with electric power around the clock.
