The country is just getting over a week-long heatwave that send temperatures soaring to over 40 degrees Celsius in the northern part of the country and closer to 50 degrees in the south.

The EMA forecast the mercury will dip to a more comfortable 36-38 degrees across most of the country on Sunday and Monday.

However, southern Upper Egypt will still see rising temperatures hovering between 41 and 42 degrees on both days.

As of Tuesday, the weather is anticipated to turn increasingly hotter, with temperatures gradually climbing to 41 degrees Celsius in Greater Cairo, the Nile Delta, South Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt by Friday.

According to the EMA, highs in the North Coast will rise to 35 degrees on Friday, while southern upper Egypt will hit 45 degrees.
