On Sunday, temperatures in Cairo and the Nile Delta dropped by 3-4 degrees, according to the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA).
Cairo and the Nile Delta can expect highs of 39 °C and lows of 24 °C throughout the week.
Visitors to the North Coast should expect cooler times with highs around 30 °C and lows around 22 °C.
Sharm El-Sheikh and Dahab in South Sinai will see higher daytime temperatures of 43 °C and nighttime lows of 28 °C.
In Northern Upper Egypt, daytime temperatures will hover around 44 degrees, with nighttime lows of 26 °C.
However, daytime temperatures in Luxor and Aswan in the deep south will hover around 47 °C with nighttime lows around 28 °C.
Muslims are enjoying a long Eid Al-Adha holiday from 15 to 20 June.
