The whale was found washed up dead on a beach near Hacienda White Village in North Cost's Sidi Abdel-Rahman, according to a statement by the environment ministry.
Experts identified the whale as Cuvier's beaked whale, the ministry noted.
The reasons behind the whale’s death remain unknown.
The ministry statement reassured the public not to be concerned about the incident.
It added that updates regarding the accident will be announced as soon as the death reasons are determined.
Minister of Environment Yasmine Fouad said the ministry has issued directives to ensure a proper and safe burial for the dead whale.
