Pyramids FC ease past Baladeyet El-Mahalla to stay top of the table

Pyramids FC triumphant league campaign this season continues as they secured their 11th successive win on Wednesday, defeating Baladeyet El-Mahalla 2-0 at Suez Stadium.

With this victory, they maintain their position at the top of the league table with 59 points, holding a comfortable 17-point lead over second-placed Masry, who have played one more match.

Ahly currently sit in third place with 39 points, but they have played seven matches less than Pyramids FC.

South African striker Fagrie Lakay opened the scoring in the 24th minute with a well-placed shot, while defender Ahmed Sami doubled the lead in the 74th minute with a nice header.

Throughout the entire 90 minutes, the league leaders dominated the game and created numerous opportunities.

However, they also experienced some missed chances, including a disallowed goal by Ibrahim Adel after a VAR review.

Pyramids FC's next match will be against Arab Contactors at the Air Defense Stadium on Sunday.
