In a bustling city like Cairo, where the pace of life can be frenetic, finding the perfect place to ensure your furry friend is well taken care of while you’re busy can be a challenge. But fear not, Cairo dog lovers, because a haven for our four-legged companions has recently emerged: the “Lovely Dog’s Hotel,” Cairo’s premier dog hotel.
Located in Al-Mariouteya in the Giza Governorate, the Lovely Dog’s Hotel offers a luxurious retreat for dogs whose owners are occupied with the demands of daily life. As you step through the doors, you’re greeted with the sound of happy barks and the sight of wagging tails. The ambiance is warm and inviting, designed to make both dogs and their human owners feel at ease.
“The idea of this retreat is to provide a safe place and loving care for pets while their owners are away,” said Ahmed Ragab, the hotel owner. “The Dog’s Hotel was established in 2022 and has been running since then. At the moment, there is only one branch that only accommodates dogs.”

The hotel provides services such as hosting, therapeutic stays, grooming, vaccinations, and obedience training.
One of the standout features of the hotel is its spacious accommodation. Each dog is provided with its own cozy suite, complete with a plush bed, toys, and plenty of room to stretch out in and relax. The suites are meticulously cleaned and sanitised daily to ensure the comfort and well-being of every guest, Ragab said.
But the luxury doesn’t end there. The hotel also offers a range of amenities designed to pamper even the most discerning of pooches. “From grooming services to personalised meal plans, every aspect of a dog’s stay is carefully tailored to its individual needs,” he added.
Sarah Magdi, a Cairo dog owner, said that “as a dog owner with a busy schedule, it’s often a challenge to find someone reliable to take care of my pup when I’m not around. A dog hotel of this sort could provide a safe and enjoyable alternative. I would definitely try it.”
For active pups who love to play, the place boasts a state-of-the-art indoor play area where dogs can run, jump, and socialise to their hearts’ content. And for those who prefer a more leisurely pace, there are tranquil outdoor gardens where they can relax and soak up the sun, Magdi said.
A daily stay costs around LE200, inclusive of two meals a day. Dry food and fresh food are available. Each dog has its own bedroom with a bed and a fan, and it gets to play outside four times a day, for an hour each time. Every day, the dog’s owner receives a video update, and he or she can contact the hotel at any time for reassurance.

A transportation service is available for both one-way and round trips. The facility can accommodate up to 30 dogs, and while it is currently only accepting dogs, a similar facility for cats is in progress.
Ahmed Refaat, another Cairo dog owner, said “I would absolutely consider leaving my pet at a dog hotel. Knowing that there’s a place like this where my dog can receive good care and attention while I’m at work gives me peace of mind. I would trust them with my furry friend.”
Perhaps the most important aspect of the hotel is its dedicated staff who are passionate about providing the best possible care for their canine guests. In addition to providing a safe and comfortable environment for the dogs, they also offer peace of mind for their owners. Through regular updates and photos shared via the hotel’s contacts, owners can stay connected with their furry friends and rest assured knowing they’re in good hands.
“My dog is like family to me, so I would only trust his care to a place that I know will treat him well. If the hotel lives up to its promise of luxury accommodation and attentive staff, I would have no hesitation in leaving my pet there when I’m travelling,” said Fatima Kamal, a dog owner in Cairo.
Aya Hamdi, another dog owner, said that “I think it’s a great idea, especially for pet owners who have busy schedules or travel frequently. It’s reassuring to know that there’s a place where dogs can receive proper care and attention in their owner’s absence.”
So, if you’re a dog owner in Cairo looking for a safe place to pamper your furry friend, look no further. With its lovely accommodation, special amenities, and dedicated staff, it’s truly a home from home for dogs on the go.
