Sunday paid holiday for Egypt's private sector to mark 30 June Revolution
Commemorating the anniversary of the 30 June 2013 Revolution, next Sunday has been declared a paid holiday for Egypt's private sector, said Minister of Labour Hassan Shehata.

Employers who choose not to give the day off have to pay their employees twice the daily wage, he added.
Public sector employees will take the day off as per a cabinet decree, and all banks will suspend operations on Sunday.
On 30 June 2013, millions of Egyptians took to the street to demand the ousting of president Mohamed Morsi.
