The 24-year-old joined Zamalek in 2019 from Petrojet with his original contract running until the end of this season.
He was loaned twice to Ittihad of Alexandria in 2020 and Pharco FC the next season before returning to Zamalek in August 2022.
Sobhi made 37 appearances for Zamalek, helping them win the Confederation Cup earlier this year.
He made four appearances with the Pharaohs so far.
Last week Zamalek announced that they signed a permanent deal with midfielder Mohamed Shehata after they decided to activate the option to make his loan deal from Talae El-Gaish permenant.
Zamalek are hit with a transfer ban by FIFA after their failure to fulfill the club’s financial obligations toward former team striker Khaled Boutaib.
Consequently, they are keen to keep their players until the settlement of the problem and lift the transfer ban.
