5 Hussien El-Meaamar St. ext. of Mahmoud Bassiouny St, from Talaat Harb Square, Downtown

Fri 5, 8pm: Fertile Presence, a sonic choreography on the body as an indicator and landscape of environmental change.
Two geo diverse bodies mess with the seasons and forget the secrets of sowing seeds, morphing movement composition with live experimental music on cello and violin, voice and synth looping, they interweave surreal surroundings by taking and losing control of their environment and body. This is a co-creation emerging from a two year research by Moss and Shaymaa traveling between Berlin and Cairo embodying the contradictions and caresses invoked by the conditioned notions associated with fertility, agriculture and motherhood, while tuning in and out with the sociopolitical current context. The project is funded by The International Co-Production Fund, The Goethe Institute and is co-produced by Orient Productions.
