Here is a quick guide for merged ministries and new ministries plus who would lead them!
1- The Ministry of Emigration and Expatriate Affairs will be merged with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Ambassador Badr Abdel-Aty will be replacing Minister of Emigration and Expatriate Affairs Soha Gendi and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry as the head of the new entity.
2- The Ministry of Industry and Trade will be split and components assigned to other ministries.
The (Industry) component will be merged into the transport ministry.
The Ministry of Transport will become The Ministry of Transport and Industry.
It will be led by Kamel El-Wazir, who has headed the Ministry of Transport since 2019.
3- The (Trade) component will merged with an investment portfolio in a new entity: The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Investment.
Hassan El-Khatib, a newcomer, will become the Minister of Trade and Investment.
4- The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, headed by Minister Hala El-Said since 2019, will be merged with the Ministry of International Cooperation, headed by Minister Rania Al-Mashat also since 2019.
Rania Al-Mashat will become Minister of International Cooperation and Planning.
