The encounter, originally halted in the 49th minute due to a fire at the Alexandria Stadium last Friday, resumed at the Borg El Arab Stadium with the score tied 1-1 and Smouha a man down following the dismissal of goalkeeper El Hany Soliman.
In the first part of the game, Hossam Hassan gave Smouha the lead from the penalty spot in the 15th minute, but Fiston Mayele's first-half stoppage-time header restored parity for Pyramids.
On Tuesday, defender Mahmoud Marei and Fakhri Lakay found the net twice in the second half to secure their 13th consecutive league win.
Substitute Fady Farid pulled one back for Smouha late on, but it proved a mere consolation as Pyramids cemented their place at the summit of the table.
The victory extends Pyramids' lead to 14 points over second-placed Ahly, who have played five fewer games. Smouha remain in seventh position despite the loss.
