Egypt names new governors set to take oath before President Sisi on Wednesday

While some governors have kept their posts, the majority were changed, with Extra News publishing a list of new governors set to take oath before President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi on Wednesday.

According to the published list, New Valley Governor Mohamed El-Zamalot, Matrouh Governor Khaled Shuaib, Red Sea Governor Amr Hanafy, Menoufia Governor Ibrahim Abu-Laimon, Beni Suef Governor Mohamed Hani, and Fayoum Governor Ahmed El-Ansary will keep their posts.

Meanwhile, new Egyptian ministers are taking the oath before the president today to serve in the new cabinet of Mostafa Madbouly, the prime minister since June 2018.

According to the report, the governors of Egypt’s 27 governorates are as follows:

1. Ibrahim Saber Khalil Khalil, Governor of Cairo

2. Adel Saeed Ibrahim El-Naggar, Governor of Giza

3. Lieutenant-General Ahmed Khaled Hassan Saeed, Governor of Alexandria

4. Major General Ashraf Magdy Ibrahim El-Gendy, Governor of Gharbia

5. Ayman Mohamed Ibrahim Attia, Governor of Qalyubia

6. Jacqueline Azer Abdel-Halim Azer, Governor of Beheira

7. Ahmed Abdullah El-Ansary, Governor of Fayoum

8. Mohamed Hani Gamal El-Din Ghoneim, Governor of Beni Suef

9. Major General Emad Ahmed Mahmoud Kedwani, Governor of Minya

10. Major General Hesham Ahmed Abulnasr, Governor of Assiut

11. Major General Abdel-Fattah Nour El-Din Serag, Governor of Sohag

12. Khaled Mahmoud Abdel-Halim Abdel-Aal, Governor of Qena

13. Major General Tarek Marzouk Abdel-Moghni, Governor of Dakahlia
