The meeting was also attended by new deputies to ministers and governors, according to a statement released by the Presidential Spokesperson Ahmed Fahmy.
During the meeting, President E-Sisi stressed to the new cabinet the importance of comprehensive development of policies and performance in line with the scale of popular aspirations, as well as challenges facing the country, during the next stage.
El-Sisi also stressed the importance of completing the path of economic reform on all levels, while giving priority to alleviating the burden on citizens and achieving a tangible breakthrough in the provision of services, especially health and education.
He noted the extreme importance of building and developing Egyptian industry as part of national economic development.
“The new government must work to attract and encourage internal and external investments and encourage the growth of the private sector within the framework of improving the state’s overall financial and economic performance to achieve the aspirations of the Egyptian people for development and progress,” added the president.
He instructed the new government to bolster national security and preserve the gains that have been achieved in the areas of combating terrorism.
He also directed the new ministers and governors, and their deputies, to promote the concepts of citizenship, tolerance, and non-discrimination among all citizens.
