The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) revealed that they CAF also said Zamalek faces a four-match ban from attending their fans in African competitions, with two of the games being suspended.
The ceremony was marred by poor organization, which fueled the ire of CAF officials and subsequently the African football governing body launched an investigation into the matter.
The EFA further noted that Zamalek retains the right to appeal the decision within a three-day window.
The White Knights secured their second Confederation Cup title with a 2-2 aggregate victory over their Moroccan counterparts, thanks to the away goals rule.
