The conference's delegates also agreed to form a committee to advance discussions and efforts towards achieving lasting peace in Sudan.
They highlighted the devastating humanitarian catastrophe caused by the conflict, emphasising the urgent need for aid and protection of humanitarian workers.
In addition, the participants unanimously condemned the violations committed during the war, acknowledging the severe toll it has taken on the country.
They voiced a collective commitment to overcome the horrors of the conflict, advocating for comprehensive reconciliation and an immediate ceasefire.
The delegates also emphasized that the crisis in Sudan is currently the largest in the world.
They further expressed profound gratitude to President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi and the government and people of Egypt for their unwavering support during Sudan’s current crisis.
Furthermore, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs Dr. Badr Abdelatty reiterated Egypt’s dedication to helping Sudan escape its ordeal.
"Egypt urges the international community to support the conference’s outcomes," he said.
In his address, Abdelatty stressed that Egypt’s leadership, government, and people pledged ongoing efforts to halt the war and facilitate Sudan’s recovery, emphasising the deep bonds between the two nations.
He also reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to supporting Sudan in its path towards peace and stability.
The Egyptian top diplomat urged the Sudanese political and national forces to maintain ongoing consultations for the interest of Sudan and its people.
Earlier Saturday, Abdelatty inaugurated Sudan’s civil political groups conference in Cairo, the latest in a series of efforts made by Egypt to address the Sudanese crisis, in cooperation with regional and international partners, especially Sudan's neighbouring countries.
In July 2023, Egypt hosted Sudan’s Neighbouring States Summit to discuss various aspects of the situation in Sudan and possible solutions to end the crisis.
Sudan has been embroiled in a civil war since April 2023 between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
More than 13,000 people have been killed since the Sudanese crisis began, according to the Armed Conflict Location and Event Data Project.
According to the United Nations, over eight million Sudanese have been displaced.
Over 500,000 Sudanese have crossed into Egypt since the onset of the war, according to data released by the Egyptian government.
Moreover, five million Sudanese currently reside in Egypt, former Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry revealed in March.
