El-Sisi's remarks came during a meeting with a Sudanese delegation who a day earlier attended the Sudanese Political and Civil Forces Conference hosted by Egypt, according to a statement by the Egyptian Presidency.
The conference brought together representatives from the Sudanese political and civilian forces, the United Nations, the African Union, the Arab League, the European Union, and several influential and interested countries in the Sudanese issue.
During Sunday’s meeting, El-Sisi stressed that Egypt would spare no effort to heal the rift between the various Sudanese parties, stop the war, ensure the return of security and stability, and preserve the capabilities of the Sudanese people.
Egypt continues to send large quantities of humanitarian aid shipments to Sudan and hosts “millions of Sudanese brothers” in Egypt, El-Sisi also affirmed.
In a statement on Saturday, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates, Badr Abdelatty, stated that Egypt has welcomed hundreds of thousands of Sudanese refugees since the start of the Sudanese crisis, who joined nearly five million Sudanese citizens who have been living in Egypt for many years.
Additionally, El-Sisi stressed the necessity of joining efforts to reach a solution and a comprehensive political plan that achieves the aspirations of the Sudanese people and ends the deep, multidimensional crisis that Sudan is experiencing, along with its disastrous repercussions on the various political, social and humanitarian levels.
El-Sisi emphasized Egypt’s keenness to coordinate and cooperate with regional and international partners to resolve the Sudanese crisis.
Moreover, the president stressed the need for the transition to the political path of the crisis to include the participation of all parties, in conformity with Sudan's national interest.
“The slogan ‘Sudan First’ should be the driving force for all sincere national efforts, and any credible political process should be based on respecting the principles of Sudan’s sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity and on preserving the state and its institutions as the foundation of the unity and stability of Sudan and its people,” El-Sisi said.
The meeting was attended by Minister Abdelatty and Major General Abbas Kamel, the Director of the General Intelligence Service (GIS).
Also in attendance were several representatives of regional and international parties, including the Foreign Minister of Chad, senior officials from the UAE, Qatar, South Sudan and Germany, representatives of the African Union, the Arab League and the United Nations, and the Ambassadors of France, the United Kingdom, Norway, the European Union, and Saudi Arabia in Cairo.
