The Ministry of Youth and Sports released a statement confirming the decision, which Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly has approved.
The Egyptian Premier League (EPL) will officially announce the revised schedules soon.
"To protect the players from fatigue in anticipation of the hot weather, the games will now commence at 17:30 instead of 16:00," stated the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Earlier this season, Egypt implemented earlier kickoff times for football games as part of a national energy conservation plan to reduce local power consumption and facilitate increased natural gas exports.
The Egyptian league is currently in its 30th matchday, with Pyramids FC leading the table with 65 points after playing 26 matches thus far this season.
Pyramids hold an 11-point advantage over Ahly, who have played four games less.
The ongoing 2023/24 season of the Egyptian Premier League (EPL) is set to conclude in mid-August.
