"I followed up the treacherous attack on former president and presidential nominee Donald Trump with concern, and I reiterate Egypt's condemnation of the incident," El-Sisi wrote on his Facebook page.
President El-Sisi hoped Trump would complete his election race in an atmosphere free from terrorism, violence, and hatred.
Circulated videos showed the Republican candidate surrounded by secret personnel and pulled to the ground after gunshots were heard while he was addressing his supporters.
He was then led off the stage, appearing to have blood on his ear, and taken away in a vehicle.
Authorities say the shooter has been neutralized and a person in the crowd has been killed.
In a post to his Truth Social network, Trump said a bullet pierced the upper part of his right ear.
Earlier, his spokesperson said he received treatment at a local medical centre.
