Sobhi, 27, was provisionally suspended on 26 May after a Barcelona laboratory report indicated "atypical findings" in a doping test.
Accordingly, the EGY-NADO launched an investigation and held a hearing where Sobhi denied any wrongdoing.
The committee hearing, by majority vote, agreed upon evidence insufficiency to prove a violation of Articles 2.2 and 2.5 of the Egyptian Anti-Doping Rules, which prohibit using or attempting to use banned substances and tampering with the testing process.
"The EGY-NADO's decision to lift the suspension is based on the evidence presented at the committee hearing," the organization’s spokesperson said.
The decision allows Sobhi to rejoin his club immediately after missing the team's last seven matches in the league and Egypt’s national team camp for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Sobhi's return significantly boosts Pyramids as they compete neck and neck with Ahly on 22 July for the Egyptian Premier League title.
Indeed, this sounds relieving for Sobhi, who has maintained his innocence throughout the process.
