According to a ministerial statement, Abdelatty met with his Comorian counterpart and discussed the situation in Gaza, Sudan, and Libya with him.

The meeting also highlighted Egypt's support for the people of the Comoros in training and capacity building, especially with scholarships from Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and Cairo University.

Furthermore, the Egyptian minister and his Zambian counterpart Mulambo Haimbe stressed the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation, expanding training and capacity-building programmes, and maintaining consultation on regional issues.

In addition, Abdelatty held a meeting with Angolan Foreign Minister Tete António, where they praised the momentum witnessed in the historic bilateral relations between the two countries, especially following the visit of President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi to Angola in June 2023.

Abdelatty's meetings aimed to consult and coordinate the joint African action process, evaluate the progress achieved in continental and regional integration, and follow up on bilateral relations between Egypt and African countries.

This year's meeting will address regional integration and follow up on the AU policies and economic blocs to enhance integration capacity.
