ITIDA CEO Ahmed El-Zaher and Informatique Board Chairman Mostafa Saleh signed the MoU in the presence of ITIDA's Software Engineering Competence Centre (SECC) Acting Chairman Haitham Hamza, Informatique Board Vice Chairman Ismail Taha, among others.
The SECC provides training, consultation, assessment, and certification services in various software engineering and IT services management.
The MoU allows Informatique’s employees to benefit from ITIDA’s SECC by training them to develop the software products they offer for various governmental and private educational institutions, locally and regionally.
ITIDA aims to support software companies in Egypt by offering training, consultation, and accreditation services to strengthen the country's role as a major hub for software development and technology services.
Moreover, the MoU includes exchanging expertise in the software industry to understand industry needs and transfer this knowledge to trainees in specialized events organized by ITIDA.
Informatique will also benefit from the SECC's new training programmes and consultations in integrated software development and operations (DevOps) and integrating artificial intelligence with software development processes.
During the signing event, El-Zaher affirmed ITIDA’s commitment to helping Egyptian companies build competitive capabilities, offer high-quality software products and services, and achieve growth.
"This cooperation reflects our commitment to developing our employees' skills and enhancing their efficiency in IT, which will significantly contribute to boosting our competitive capabilities at both local and regional levels," Saleh said.
This comes against the backdrop of the information and communication technology sector’s contribution to Egypt’s gross domestic product (GDP), increasing it from five percent in FY2022/2023 to 5.8 percent in FY2023/2024. The country targets reaching eight percent by 2030, according to Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat.
