“To extend my stay at this special club is something I’m really proud of,” Morsy told club media.

“We’ve had unprecedented success during the last two years, which is something I’m honoured to have been involved in,” he said.

“The Premier League is the biggest challenge yet, but I’m excited for what’s ahead,” he added.

Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna praised Morsy’s leadership and consistency, highlighting his importance to the team.

"We're delighted Sam has extended his contract. His leadership has been crucial in building a strong club culture," McKenna said.

Morsy’s impact was recognized by Ipswich Town supporters, who voted him the club’s Men’s Player of the Year.
