Film producer Tamer Fathy succumbs to injuries hours after car accident

Film and TV producer Tamer Fathy died earlier today due to injuries from the road accident that claimed the lives of three of his colleagues yesterday.

The four producers were travelling on Dabaa Road heading to the North Coast when their car overturned and caught fire.

Hossam Shawky, Mahmoud Kamal, and Fathy Ismail were killed instantly.

However, Tamer Fathy was injured and transported by ambulance to hospital but succumbed to his injuries hours later.

Fathy is known for producing well-known films and TV series, such as El Shoq (2011), Chaos, Disorder (2012), Case C (2017), Zizo's Family (2017), Handwritten (2020), El Qahera: Kabul (2021), Ahsan Abb (2021), and Shamareekh (2023).

The memorial service for all four victims of the crash will take place at the Police Officers’ Mosque in Sheikh Zayed, Giza on Sunday after Maghrib prayers.
