The four producers died when their car overturned and caught fire on Dabaa Road on their way to the North Coast.
Hossam Shawky, Mahmoud Kamal, and Fathy Ismail died instantly, while Tamer Fathy was transported to the nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries hours later.
The memorial service was held at the Police Officers’ Mosque in Sheikh Zayed, Giza.
Among the attendees were actors Karim Abdel-Aziz, Ahmed El-Awady, Amir Karara, Maged El-Kedwany, Salah Abdallah, and Fathy Abdel-Wahab and actresses Yasmine Sabry, Laila Elwi, Hend Sabry, Yasmine Abdel-Aziz, and Esaad Younes.
Among dozens of other renowned names who came to pay their respect were singers Tamer Hosny, Hesham Abbas, and Khaled Selim.
Directors Ramy Emam, Peter Mimi, Mohamed Sami, Amr Salama, and Marwan Hamed also attended.
Producers Gamal El-Adl and Mohamed El-Saadi were also present.
Fathy Ismail, Hossam Shawky, and Mahmoud Kamal, all related, were buried in their hometown of Kafr El-Zayat in Gharbiya governorate in the Nile Delta.
The funeral of Tamer Fathy took place on Friday in the 6th of October City in Giza governorate.
Many of the artists have also expressed their sorrow in posts on social media, including Ahmed El-Sakka, Youssra, Karim Abdel-Aziz, Amir Karara, Hend Sabry, Asser Yassin, Mohamed Ramadan, Ahmed Helmy, and Yasmine Sabry.
Actor Khaled El-Sawy’s account on Instagram mourned the death of the producers, underscoring their integrity, professionalism, and ethical principles and praising the beautiful companionship that characterized them all.
“Goodbye my dearest, kindest, and purest brothers, friends, and loved ones,” actor Ahmed El-Awady expressed his mourning on his Instagram account.
Artist Amr Saad mourned the death of Hossam Shawky saying, “I announce a period of public mourning and will stop any artistic work.”
Actress Yasmine Abdelaziz mourned Shawky saying, “My brother, friend, support, and backbone. Goodbye to the kindest, most generous, and most precious person. May God have mercy on you, my dear brother.”

Actor Salah Abdallah wrote on his X account “Is that it, Tamer? You won't reply, saying ‘What's wrong, Uncle Salah?’ And we fight each other and laugh. You were and will remain the closest to my heart.”
All four producers were known for working and often travelling together.
They produced many well-known films and TV series productions.
Hossam Shawky
Hossam Shawky was the General Supervisor of Production at Synergy, one of the top production entities in Egypt's film industry.
Shawky’s debut as a technical producer was in the series Dead Heart (2008).
He was a general production supervisor in several artistic works, including Nagi Atallah’s Squad (2012), Why Fall in Love Again? (2020), El Qahera: Kabul (2021), The Choice (2020-2022), and The Assassins (2024).
During his career, Shawky supervised the production of more than 60 artistic works for many stars, such as Ahmed Ezz, Yasser Galal, Amr Saad, Tarek Lotfy, and Mohamed Imam.
Mahmoud Kamal
Kamal was the technical producer at Synergy.
He participated in many of the works of renowned actor Adel Emam and director Ramy Emam, including Nagi Atallah's Squad (2012), Al-Araf (2013), Saheb Al-Saada (2014), Mamoun and Partners (2016), and Afareet Adly Allam (2017).
Kamal was the general production director for Adel Emam’s Ustaz and Head of the Department (2015), directed by Wael Ehsan.
Additionally, he produced Darbet Maalem (2020) and Meshwar El-Wensh (2022), featuring Mohamed Ragab, as well as Darb Naar (2023) and Haqq Arab (2024), co-starring Ahmed El-Awady.
Fathy Ismail
Shawky and Kamal’s cousin, Fathy Ismail, was also a technical producer at Synergy.
He contributed to various artistic productions, among them Nagi Atallah’s Squad (2012), Al-Fetewa (2020), The Choice (2020-2022), and War (2023).
Ismail’s name appeared as a producer in films, such as Casablanca (2019), For Zeko (2022), Beit El-Ruby (2023), and Alserb: The Squadron (2024).
He worked with renowned actors, including Adel Emam, Ahmed El-Sakka, Amir Karara, and Karim Abdel-Aziz.
Several of his works were produced alongside director Peter Mimi.
Most recently, Ismail co-produced My Cousin and I film, starring Bayoumi Fouad and Sayed Ragab.
Ismail’s last participation was in the late series The Assassins and The Magic Formula (2024).
Tamer Fathy
Fathy made his debut in the film industry in 2007, with the film Doctor Omar’s Gang, and then worked on The Baby Doll Night (2008), El Shoq (2011), and Chaos, Disorder (2012).
Fathy is also recognized for producing Al-Khanka (2016), starring Ghada Abdel-Razek.
In 2017, Fathy produced the series Case C, 30 Days, and Zizo's Family.
He worked with Shawky on the series Handwritten (2020).
In 2021, he worked on three series: Zay El-Qamar, El Qahera: Kabul, Ahsan Abb. Meanwhile, in 2022, Fathy produced the series What to Do, starring Khaled El-Sawy.
Fathy’s last film was Shamareekh (2023).
