Zamalek snatch late win over ZED FC to move third

Zamalek secured a 1-0 victory over ZED in a rescheduled Egyptian Premier League match on Thursday

A late goal from substitute winger Mohamed Atef helped Zamalek claim their third successive win and avenge their first round defeat.

He sent a nice curling shot in the 90 th minute, scoring his first goal since joining the club last January. 

The win helped the White Knights move them into third place in the league standings with 55 points.

ZED remain in seventh place with 47 points.
