Ahly required just a single point from the match to secure the Egyptian title. Currently, with three games remaining in the season, Ahly comfortably leads the league table with 81 points, holding an eight-point advantage over second-placed Pyramids FC, who have played an extra game.
Speaking at the post-game press conference, Koller praised the team's exceptional performance throughout the demanding season, breaking records along the way.
"All the players were outstanding and delivered a superb performance during the busy season," he stated.
"We are delighted to have secured the league title despite the challenges we faced, showcasing the champion's character," added the Ahly coach.
Acknowledging the physical toll of playing a match every two days for two consecutive months, the Swiss coach said, "It's been exhausting, but we managed to navigate through it."
A last-minute goal by substitute midfielder Mohamed 'Afsha' Magdy sealed the victory for Ahly.
"Afsha's brilliant goal underscores his ability to shine in decisive moments," remarked Koller.
This triumph marks the conclusion of a successful season for Ahly, during which they also captured the Egyptian Super Cup, the CAF Champions League title, and a bronze medal in the FIFA Club World Cup.
