Nigerian striker Godwin is happy at Egyptian club Ismaily and is open to sign a new contract with the Dervishes.
The 28-year-old hitman has recently rejoined the coastal club training sessions after boycotting it for more than a month for not receiving his financial dues. The player has resolved the issue with the club management and doesn't mind extending his stay.
"Now I feel more comfortable with Ismaily because the atmosphere inside the club is more stable," Godwin told the club's official website late on Friday.
"The technical staff and players are both concentrating in preparing well for the new season. I feel this atmosphere will help the team to deliver better performance in the new season.
"I am ready to sign a new contract if the club board opens that discussion with me," added Godwin whose current contract with the Ismailia-based club runs for another season.
Ismaily, which is facing a major financial crisis and has lost a number of stars for the same reason, was ranked 6th before last season's Egyptian league suspension after the tragic death of more than 70 fans in the Port Said stadium.
Godwin joined Ismaily in 2010 from Swiss club Yverdon-Sport FC on a three-year contract.
