Zamalek defender Fatouh held for 15 days pending probe in North Coast incident

A Marsa Matrouh judge renewed on Tuesday the detention of Zamalek and national team fullback Ahmed Fatouh for 15 days, pending an investigation into his involvement in an incident on the North Coast early Sunday morning.

The 26-year-old defender was initially held for four days on Sunday after a policeman was killed in the early morning crash.

The prosecution has also ordered a drug test for the player.

According to a preliminary investigation, Fatouh is suspected of running over the 53-year-old man with his car on the North Coast Road.
