Ahmed Hawash gave Enppi the lead in the 21st minute, but Mahmoud "Kahraba" Abdel-Moneam levelled the score in injury time of the first half, rescuing a point for Ahly.
Assistant coach Sami Komsan, who stepped in for Marcel Koller after his return to his home country, made several changes to the squad that defeated ZED FC on Sunday.
Ahly pressed from the start, seeking an early goal but struggled to break through Enppi’s solid defense. Despite dominating possession, Ahly’s players failed to move the ball quickly enough to create clear chances.
Enppi, relying on counterattacks, broke the deadlock when Ahmed Hawash capitalized on a cross from Mohamed Sherif to score with his left foot.
Ahly responded by pushing for an equalizer, but their forwards lacked precision. In the 43rd minute, Kahraba appeared to level the score, but the goal was ruled out after a VAR check confirmed he was offside.
In injury time, Kahraba finally leveled the match with a powerful right-footed shot. A failed clearance by an Enppi defender allowed Kahraba to control the ball inside the penalty area and fire past the goalkeeper.
The second half saw both teams exchange attacks. Ahly appeared more dangerous but lacked the finishing touch needed to secure a win. Despite their efforts, the Cairo giants were unable to extend their winning streak.
With this result, Ahly moved to 85 points, while Enppi remained in ninth place in the league standings with 44 points.
