Due to the high demand, the museum has extended its visiting hours to include evening sessions on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, running from 5:00pm to 9:00pm.

Mohamed Ismail, Secretary-General of Egypt’s Supreme Council of Antiquities (SCA), noted that this decision was taken to accommodate more visitors, particularly during the summer holidays for schools and universities.

He highlighted the exhibition's success as evidence of the Chinese public's fascination with ancient Egyptian civilization, adding that it serves as a valuable platform to promote Egypt’s cultural tourism market in China.

The exhibition, which runs until August 2025, features 787 artifacts from renowned Egyptian museums.

Highlights include royal colossi of Kings Ramses II, Akhenaten, Tutankhamun, and Merneptah, along with depictions of deities like Osiris, Isis, and Hathor.
Gold bracelets, royal cartouches, and artefacts related to ancient Egyptian beliefs in the afterlife, including decorated coffins and canopic jars are also on display.
The exhibition showcases discoveries from the Saqqara archaeological site, such as colourful coffins, mummified animals, and Old Kingdom limestone statues.
