"There are ongoing talks with Ahly regarding the signing of Dari this summer, but I can't disclose further details at this time," Agent Abdellatif Flifli revealed during an early Friday appearance on a television program.
The 25-year-old defender, Dari, moved to Stade Brestois from Morocco's Wydad AC in July 2022 for a reported fee of 2.7 million euros.
After spending two seasons with the club, he embarked on a loan spell with Belgian side R Charleroi SC last season.
"Stade Brestois acquired Dari from Wydad in a significant deal and are open to his departure, pending Ahly's acceptance of their potential terms," Flifli added.
Dari, who notably made 40 appearances with Wydad in the CAF Champions League, played a key role in the Moroccan team's victory in the 2021-22 CAF Champions League campaign.
His performance in Ligue 1 saw him make 22 appearances and score one goal.
The Cairo-based giants are actively seeking a suitable replacement for the departing central defender Mohamed Abdel-Moneim, who is on the brink of a move to French club Nice.
The Egyptian champions secured the services of Moroccan left-back Yahia Attiyat Allah on a one-year loan deal from the Russian PFC Sochi last week.
