The meeting covered several topics of mutual interest in light of the current regional and international developments, especially the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip.

During the meeting, they explored ways to enhance military cooperation between the Egyptian and American armed forces, according to the statement.

Khalifa expressed his appreciation for the strong ties that bind the armed forces of both friendly nations.

Moreover, he emphasized the commitment of the General Command of the Egyptian Armed Forces to increasing cooperation and partnership with the United States Armed Forces across various military fields.

Several Egyptian and American armed forces commanders, the US ambassador to Egypt, and the US defence attaché in Cairo attended the meeting.
