The Egyptian market resumed its upward trend on Monday with the main EGX30 index gaining another 1.4 per cent midway into the session.
The EGX30 is currently trading at 5,903 points, marking a 63 per cent gain since the start of 2012.
Turnover reached some LE900 million, raising expectations that Monday's session might yield the highest turnover in two years.
All major stocks saw impressive gains, with Orascom Construction Industries rising 1.61 per cent, Orascom Telecom Holding 3.55 per cent and Talaat Mostafa Group 5.22 per cent.
