Fekry’s medal-winning lift came on her second attempt, successfully hoisting 145 kilograms.
Although she failed to lift 154 kilograms in her final attempt, her earlier performance secured her a spot on the podium.
Nigeria’s Folashade Oluwafemiayo dominated the competition, setting new world and Paralympic records with a staggering 167-kilogram lift, while China’s Xuemei Deng claimed silver with a 155-kilogram effort.
This marks the fourth Paralympic medal for the 50-year-old weightlifter, who returns to the podium 16 years after success in Beijing 2008.
Fekry previously won bronze in Sydney 2000, silver in Athens 2004, and bronze in Beijing 2008.
Fekry’s third-place finish also brought Egypt’s medal tally at the Paris Paralympics to seven, comprising two golds, two silvers, and three bronzes.
Egypt’s Paralympic delegation currently ranks 41st overall.
