Abdelatty expressed Egypt's pride in the continuous communication with the UAE's political leadership through high-level reciprocal visits, emphasizing Cairo's commitment to ensuring these meetings drive cooperation between the two nations and fulfil the aspirations of their peoples.
The meeting included exchanging views on regional developments and the unprecedented escalation in certain areas.
Abdelatty and bin Zayed discussed ways to de-escalate tensions, focusing on the crises in Gaza and Sudan, and the security situation in the Red Sea. They also discussed recent developments in Libya and Somalia.
Both sides agreed to continue consultations on matters of mutual concern.
On a different note, Abdelatty congratulated the President of the UAE on the significant success of the UAE's presidency of the 28th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UNFCCC (COP28) in Dubai.
At the end of the meeting, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed expressed his deep appreciation for Egypt's leadership and his admiration for the achievements Egypt has made over the past decade under President El-Sisi’s leadership.
Abdelatty arrived in Abu Dhabi on Saturday, where he met members of the Egyptian community in the UAE and Emirati officials and businessmen.
