Abdelatty made his remarks while discussing the latest developments related to the Gaza war with his UAE counterpart Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan in a meeting on the sideline of his visit to Abu Dhabi.
According to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abdelatty emphasized Cairo's continuous consultation with various regional partners to ensure the security, stability, and interests of all peoples in the region.
Israel has so far killed over 40,939 Palestinians, injured around 94,616, and damaged infrastructure since the war on Gaza started.
This war has sparked regional tension, including on the Lebanon-Israel border, resulting in regular cross-border fire exchanges between the Israeli army and Hezbollah.
Abdelatty also reaffirmed Egypt’s support for Lebanon’s security and stability, emphasizing the need for cooperation to prevent an open war with Israel, read the statement.
According to an AFP tally, Israel has killed 614 people in Lebanon, including 138 civilians, since 7 October. On the Israeli side, Tel Aviv has announced the death of 24 soldiers and 26 civilians.
The statement added that the meeting also delved into the ongoing Sudanese crisis and the efforts exerted to find a resolution.
Since April, Egypt has welcomed thousands of Sudanese fleeing the war and hosted several summits to facilitate a peaceful solution.
Furthermore, both ministers discussed the situations in the Horn of Africa, Somalia, and Libya.
They also stressed the importance of enhanced cooperation among the coastal states of the Red Sea to protect their interests and national security from various threats.
Additionally, Abdelatty highlighted the significance of convening sessions of the Joint Economic Committee and the Egyptian-Emirati Business Forum to expand areas of cooperation between Cairo and Abu Dhabi.
