Turkey to attend Arab League meeting after 13-year absence

Turkey is set to make a notable return to the Arab League's Council of Foreign Ministers.

The Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will attend the 162nd meeting of the council, marking Turkey's first participation in the event in 13 years.

According to a statement from the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Fidan will address the council, discuss the ongoing Gaza conflict, and hold bilateral meetings with fellow ministers.

Turkey’s participation required approval from all Arab League member states.
