The EGX 30 benchmark index decreased by 0.89 percent to reach 30,104.35 points.
The broader EGX 70 EWI of the leading small and mid-cap enterprises (SMEs) dropped by 0.96 percent, closing at 7,071.56 points.
The all-embracing EGX 100 index was also down by about 1.02 percent, ending at 10,076.87 points.
