"Five martyrs as a result of Israeli airstrikes on a group of citizens in Tubas. The martyrs were transferred to the Turkish government's hospital in Tubas," Palestinian Red Crescent spokesman Ahmed Jibril told AFP.

The bombing came as part of an escalation campaign launched by the occupation forces on the city of Tubas, which saw a large-scale storming of its outskirts and neighbourhoods in the early hours of Wednesday, WAFA news agency said.

The Israeli army declared a curfew on the city and deployed in its northern areas, according to WAFA.

It also surrounded the Tubas Turkish Governmental Hospital on the city's northern outskirts.

Aggression on Tubas came amid a series of ongoing Israeli escalations in the West Bank, where various Palestinian cities have recently seen extensive raids and attacks.

On Tuesday evening, Israel stormed the city of Tulkarm and its two camps, killing two civilians and injuring 10 others.

According to the Palestinian health ministry, Israeli troops and terrorist settlers have killed more than 662 Palestinians in the West Bank since the war on Gaza began.
