Galal was admitted to an intensive care unit at the beginning of September in an effort to stabilize his health, but regrettably, his condition deteriorated.
"Ismaily announce the passing of one of the club's most dedicated figures, Ehab Galal," the club expressed in a statement released on Wednesday.
"May God continue to bless his family and all his loved ones."
Galal's connection with Ismaily dates back to the summer of 1991 when the talented midfielder joined the club from the second-division side El-Shams.
He achieved success with Ismaily, winning the Egypt Cup in 1997 before transferring to Masry in the summer of 1999, where he played for four years.
Subsequently, he joined Qanah in 2003 and retired the following season at the age of 37.
Having gained coaching experience with various second-division clubs, Galal transitioned to the elite level by taking charge of the newly promoted side, Telefonat Beni Suef, in January 2014.
Throughout his coaching career, he worked with prominent Egyptian clubs such as Zamalek, Pyramids FC, Masry, Ismaily, and Maqassa, establishing a reputation for his brand of attacking football.
In 2022, Galal briefly led the Egyptian national team before being replaced by Portuguese coach Rui Vitoria after just two months.
The Egyptian Football Association extended their condolences to Galal's family in a statement issued on Wednesday, praying for his soul.

Returning to Ismaily as a team coach in the summer of 2023, Galal remained with the club until his untimely passing.
