Trezeguet, who recently joined Al-Rayyan on loan from Turkish side Trabzonspor, made an immediate impact.
The 29-year-old forward opened the scoring in the fifth minute with a powerful shot from outside the box, with Roger Guedes doubling the score for Al-Rayyan four minutes later.
In the 15th minute, Trezeguet provided an assist for Julian De Sart, though the goal was initially ruled offside. However, VAR overturned the decision, confirming the goal.
Al-Shahania responded in the 20th minute with a goal from Mohamed Ibrahim, reducing the deficit.
Just before halftime, Trezeguet provided his second assist, setting up Roger Guedes for his second goal in the fourth minute of stoppage time.
However, Al-Shahania managed a late consolation goal through Mohamed Ismail in the 90th minute.
With this win, Al-Rayyan climbed to fourth place in the league standings, level on six points with Al-Sadd, who have a game in hand.
Trezeguet, on loan for the season, is contracted with Trabzonspor until 2026, having joined the Turkish club from Aston Villa in 2022.
The Egyptian international took part in 76 games for Trabzonspor across all competitions, scoring 14 goals and providing 16 assists.
