The ministry added that all the injured have been discharged from hospitals except eight under observation at the university and Al-Ahrar hospitals.
Furthermore, the health ministry explained that the eight patients are under close medical supervision, with some expected to be discharged within the coming hours.
On Saturday, a collision took place in the afternoon between passenger train No. 281, travelling from Zagazig to Ismailia, and passenger train No. 336, travelling from Mansoura to Zagazig, near Block 5 in the city of Zagazig, according to the Egyptian Railway Authority (ERA).
Meanwhile, the Public Prosecution said on Sunday that it formed an investigation team following the accident.
