The Pharaohs currently lead Group C with six points after victories over Cape Verde (3-0) and Botswana (4-0) in their opening two matches.
Mauritania are third of the group with three points after beating Botswana (1-0) and losing against Cape Verde (2-0).
The upcoming international break is scheduled for 7 to 15 October.
The EFA stated that the date for the away fixture against Mauritania has not yet been confirmed by their counterparts.
